On March 17, 2016, the National Council of Ukraine, having reviewed the results of monitoring a number of foreign television programs, decided to exclude 14 Russian TV channels from the List of Foreign Programs whose content meets the requirements of the European Convention on Transfrontier Television and the legislation of Ukraine. The main reason is the broadcasting of commercial advertising. The following TV programs were removed: “My Joy”, ‘Music of the First’, ‘Ocean-TV’, ‘HD Life’, ‘TDK (Television Ladies Club)’, ‘24 Doc’, ‘Children's’, ‘STV’, ‘India TV’, ‘Healthy TV’, ‘A Minor TV’, ‘Eurocinema’, ‘Drive’, ‘Mother and Child’. “All of these foreign programs are under the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation, which is not a signatory to the European Convention on Transfrontier Television. In accordance with part nine of Article 13 of the Law of Ukraine “On Advertising”, broadcasting (retransmission) of advertising contained in programs and broadcasts of foreign television and radio organizations that do not fall under the jurisdiction of the European Union member states or countries that have ratified the European Convention on Transfrontier Television is prohibited. However, all of these TV channels, except for "Eurokino", "Drive", and "Mother and Child", aired commercials. Other violations of Ukrainian legislation were also recorded on some of them,” - reports the press service of the agency
